However this adds latency, especially if there is a device or process in the set with a very high latency amount. Delay Compensation is used to ensure that all tracks in a set playback in sync with each-other. Device/Plug-in related latencyĬertain Live and Max for live devices, as well as certain plug-ins and processes can add latency.

#HOW TO FIX KORG M 50 88 DRIVER#
In addition, the type of audio driver and the interface you use affect latency. The bigger the buffer size, the bigger the latency. The buffer size is defined in Live's Audio Preferences. This helps to minimize dropouts or glitches, as the buffer allows time for all events to be smoothed out. Audio interface latencyĪll audio in Live is processed in defined parcels of time, called an audio buffer.

What is with some of the people in this thread?I mean. There are two main sources of latency: 1. My point is,that in terms of price/features ratios,no other workstation offers anything better than the Kross 2(for under $1,000.)Ĭomparing the FA to the Kross 2,is equally as idiotic as comparing the Kronos to the FA and saying the Kronos blows the FA out of the water. The fact is,flagship workstations tend to blow entry entry level workstations out of the water(yeah.no sh*t,but what is your point?) I paid $145 more than the Kross 2.a few dollars more Paying just $145 more, can only mean one of 2 things, you either bought a scratch & dent model from a retailer,or worse, you bought it from a private seller(in which case,if you need any repairs or it takes a dump, you are unconditionally f**ked & you'll have lost $895.or end up spending as much,if not more than the retail on the FA06,new).yeah,that sounds like a great deal to me. He got one fact right, it blows it out of the water. Even a usable vocoder.punches well above its weight.but is even further from a workstationSong mode is important, so i will have to stay with a workstation. It has a pared down supernatural engine, and a sketchpad sequencer. If you want a great set of Roland drums, that can be layered and have separate filters etc for every hit look at the JDXI. Bit of a missed opportunity but better than not having them. They can be saved to a project but cant be imported into a kit, they are also not velocity sensitive pads but you can edit the sounds fairly easily. You can also load your own samples into the pads from an sd card. Of course you can also build your own kits with the available waveforms.

Yes.not to the extent of the JDXI, but its got a couple of 808 and 909 kits and a hybrid 707/727 kit I think.

Even a usable vocoder.punches well above its weight.but is even further from a workstation The Kross 1 has some pretty decent drums too.Im not sure if the Kross 2 has added to this, like the FAs pads they kind of missed an opportunity with the electribe step sequencer.this may have changed with the new pads? Maybe it has sample import too? Im sorry for hijacking the thread.im not sure if Kross has the same va engine! and.are the classic drum tr ( 808,909,707)series present on the fa?Yes.not to the extent of the JDXI, but its got a couple of 808 and 909 kits and a hybrid 707/727 kit I think.
